Appalachian Trail LASH 2017

Beginning March 23rd, 2017, I started a long ass section hike (called a LASH by hikers) of the Appalachian Trail from Springer Mountain, Georgia all the way back to my hometown, Boonsboro, Maryland.

While I started the journey somewhat hopeful I could go from a section hiker to a thru hiker, I ultimately decided the section hiker life was the life for me! The 1,043.5 mile journey took me about three months and instilled me with a deep love of long distance backpacking. Recently, I began revisiting my old blog posts and journal entries from back then.

Find them listed in order below.

(I am currently in the process of revisiting and reposting from my old, now defunct blog. This page is currently incomplete and posts will be updated daily!)
